In this position, you will be responsible for the supervision of personnel in the performance of all clinical and administrative duties related to nursing services.
Your work will involve ensuring that adequate coverage is provided on all shifts and approving or disapproving leave requests, scheduling personnel, and authorizing overtime for all clinical personnel.
You will review and evaluate the educational and training needs for subordinates, plan and conduct training, and arrange for further education and training to enhance nursing skills.
You can expect to perform the duties of a working supervisor.
This will include assisting the clinical staff in performing duties during peak workload periods and absences, as well as carrying out all other general and nursing-related duties for which certifiable training and licensure has been received.
Additionally, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the nursing services provided to inmates.
