Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community.

We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

What are we looking for?

Three years experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge and experience in planning and conducting a variety of recreational/community activities with preference at a Community Center.

A degree from an accredited college in recreation or a related field may be substituted; one year of education may be substituted for nine months of experience.

Knowledge of office equipment, computer operations, common software programs, and procedures in order to maintain efficient functioning of the operation.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Major Duties:

What to Expect Plans, coordinates, and schedules a comprehensive youth & adult recreational/community activities program.

Program areas may include, but not limited to; social, cultural, athletic, special interest clubs, dance, instructional classes, outdoor activities, camps, and clinics.

Transports and/or oversees occasional scheduled field trips. May lead and/or instruct recreation activities, demonstrates procedures common to the activity and instruct in the use of related equipment.

Collects information regarding actual and potential participant recreational interests and needs of active duty military and family members in the surrounding community.

Evaluates programs, collects information, analyzes trends, and makes recommendations for improvement. Arranges for supplies and equipment necessary to support programs or events.

Insures proper internal controls are maintained to protect property, equipment, supplies, income, records, etc.

Registers students, collects fees, maintains attendance and appropriate accounting records. Collects, compiles, and organizes information and data to meet routine administrative requirements.

Prepares routine correspondence and drafts activity instructions.

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
