About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Blakeslee Airforce Recreation Area This position is a Flexible position.

Hours for this position will be determined by the facility manager and can range from 0-40 hours per week depending on the needs of the facility. Must be at least 16 years of age.

Must possess lifeguard certification, first-aid and CPR training certification. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Applicants will be categorized by preference(s) and/or priority consideration eligibilities.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 02/01/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Must be at least 16 years of age. Must possess lifeguard certification, first-aid and CPR training certification.

Must have experience in swimming activities, rules and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment.

Youth under the age of 18 who work in North Carolina must have a Youth Employment Certificate. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

1. Continuously observe the pool to ensure safety. 2. Ensures only authorized patrons are admitted to the area. 3.

Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first-aid, and calls for medical assistance when needed. 4. Warns patrons of unsafe conditions. 5.
