Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; OR Have completed a formal vocational training program; OR Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with preference for employment rather than continuing education (Valid documentation will be required upon hire).

Must be able to attend and pass CPR and First Aid training. Must complete Cash Handling Training Course before handling fund and Refresher Course once per year.

Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including evenings, holidays and weekends.

Must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, lifting and carrying objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of basic mathematics and cash handling procedures. Have a strong command of the English language to include written and oral skills.

NON APPROPRIATED FUNDS POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Recreation Attendant BUSINESS TITLE: Recreation Attendant (Athletics) JOB SERIES: 0189 PAY LEVEL: NF-01 SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Supports athletics activities and services in fitness center, outdoor recreation, retail program, and sports program under the direction of higher level Recreation Specialists, Athletics Managers and Directors.

Provides instructions and information concerning policies and regulations in the use of facilities, fitness program schedules, operation hours, monthly activities and programs, etc.

to authorized patrons. Monitors and evaluates the security of the premises. Assists in developing routine reports and performs basic clerical, custodial, and maintenance duties.

Operates cash register; assists inventory; takes field/court reservations; takes applications from customers to register for various sports activities.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.

Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly.

Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
