About the position: This position is a RFT (full-time) Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position assigned to the Ft Eustis Community Programs on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location.
Position is guaranteed 35 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work. Applicant must have a current drivers' license.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which has provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs.
Must have demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must be able to deal effectively with both children and adults.
Experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
Work requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and carrying. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Frequently exposed to possibility of cuts and serious injuries and/or falls. Works both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to elements, cold and heat, humidity, rain, drafts, dirt, dust, and noise.
Special care is required to avoid serious injury. Subject to an irregular tour of duty.
Position requires satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check w/Inquiries and Food Handler's Certification. Must have a current drivers' license.
"This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject for random testing/or drug use.
" Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Major Duties:
Assists in program operation with an emphasis on programs for AIT students, families and family members and special groups such as retirees, singles, and private organizations.
Leads recurring group activities such as trips, classes, clubs, special events, outreach, competitive games and events, and self-directed leisure.
Demonstrates basic techniques of programs offered, with without assistance of visual aids. Explains specific procedures and applications for various equipment.
Ensures activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Air Force, safety, and environmental regulations.
Assists in programming activities, to include type of format and resources the activity would require.
Gathers information from a number of different sources, including past programs and current popular programs in other communities.
Assists in the evaluation of the information to ensure it meets the needs of the specific clientele groups. Assists in marketing strategies, budget in-puts, program goals, and contract preparations.
Greets patrons and conducts facility tours. Answers patrons' questions regarding program offered, use of equipment. Collects fees and protects funds.
Conducts sale of tickets from established inventory controls and through on-line computerized system.
Operates computerized cash register, rings up sales, accepts payments/money, makes change, or charges to members' account.
Maintains record of material used, number of patrons, and other required information. Operates government vehicles in the course of duties.
Responsible for ensuring all vehicle rules and regulations are followed. Maintains general facility cleanliness in accordance with biweekly cleaning schedule.
Provides back up support for ITT operations located in the ITT Office at Fort Eustis. As required, performs duties for equipment checkout. Performs other related duties as assigned.
