One year experience in any type of work which demonstrates the ability to perform the work or experience which provided a general basic knowledge of recreational activities and customer service.
Must have basic computer skills. Ability to obtain a Government Driver's License. Must be bale to lift 45lbs independently. Major Duties:
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating recreation information, opportunities and needs for the target population of 18-25yr old single active duty personnel.
Maintains high level of visibility with the patrons through innovative methods of outreach. Coordinates feedback to commands on issues that affect the single Marines Quality of Life.
Answers questions regarding the SMP and upcoming events.
Maintains contact with responsible representatives of the command, special interest groups, local community officials, civic organizations and other public officials.
Plans, markets, and conduct ongoing programs during off duty hours Educates and acquaints personnel with program opportunities such as field trip, sports tournaments, etc.
Forms, coordinates and maintains a network or teams of personnel to develop a path of communication and provide programming ideas and assistance.
Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Arranges for supplies and equipment necessary to support programs.
Maintains attendance information in an electronic spreadsheet and types announcements as needed. Adheres to Department¿s Internal Control procedures to include property and cash handling.
Responsible for driving Marines/Sailors as needed. May set up various equipment for recreational use by Marines/Sailors, i.e. video games, outdoor movie theater. Other duties as assigned.
