Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team's efforts in managing real estate for the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers, including planning, acquiring, and disposing of properties to support military, civil, and disaster response projects.
The role requires overseeing staff, ensuring legal compliance, and advising leaders on real estate matters.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Need Positions (Real Estate Personnel) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This announcement is to fill like or similar positions for the Baltimore or New England District.
The mission is to deliver engineering services to strengthen our Nation's security and economy, and to reduce risks from disasters.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes;1) directing the real estate activities of a major organization or government agency; 2) advising on real estate policies and/or directives; 3) overseeing real estate work that involves planning, appraisal, acquisition, or disposal of real estate interest; and 4) managing personnel required to transact real estate projects.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
