Summary

This job involves managing and documenting real estate assets for the Air National Guard at the Pittsburgh Airbase, including tracking buildings, land, and utilities through records and computer systems.

You'll act as an expert advisor to the base's civil engineer on property matters.

Key Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Real Estate Technician or equivalent federal role
  • Two years of technical real estate experience plus an associate degree
  • Equivalent combination of relevant experience and training

  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets, word processing software, and computer systems for record-keeping
  • Active Class C driver's license or equivalent
  • Full-time availability with standard 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM hours, Monday through Friday

We are looking for a Real Estate Specialist develop and manage real estate activities for the Air National Guard, Pittsburgh Airbase, and Civil Engineering Office. This position also gives you the opportunity to serves as a technical consultant to the Assistant United States Property and Fiscal Officer (Base Civil Engineer) for real property.

Requirements

As a Real Estate Specialist, you will utilize your unique skillset to identify, measure, and record all new and existing plant and facilities systems from reading maps, plans, property descriptions, and other real property documents. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining manual and written real property facility binders and computer based accountability records for land, buildings, utility systems, special purpose facilities, Real Property Installed equipment (RPIE), and other real estate property. Work involves using spreadsheets, word processing software, and other computer resources to document real property conditions. Your expertise will be crucial to providing guidance and support to the Assistant United States Property and Fiscal Officer (base civil engineer) regarding real property matters.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per 2-week pay period.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Coraopolis. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Real Estate Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of technical real estate experience and an associate degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of an active Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

  • You must pass a favorable NCIC screening and possess one of the following for admittance to Pittsburgh Airbase: valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license; other REAL ID-compliant identification cards; alternative acceptable document such as a passport; or military/CAC/retirees' ID card.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
