Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collecting, compiling, and conducting special studies; 2) developing approaches and methods to improve range operations; 3) reviewing and approving correspondence pertaining to range operation; 4) conducting inspections of range activities and facilities; 5) and interpreting regulations and directives.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, reviewing, monitoring, evaluating and updating all operations including training areas, Townsend Bombing Range (TBR) training facilities, training devices and special use airspace.
  • You will collect, compile, and conduct special studies of statistical and other data to assess shortcomings, program progress, and to develop approaches and methods to improve operations and advise/assist commanders and senior staff officers.
  • You will safely allocate and coordinate the use of facilities and training ranges to include air and airborne activities within the Restricted Airspace.
  • You will provide senior level decision making and Branch priorities to guide subordinate staff.
  • You will closely monitor employee safety training and ensure appropriate action is taken to alleviate any unsafe or unhealthy training.
