Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the Quality Assurance Manager (Code 900Q), Production Department Analysis and Business Manager (Code 900A), Productions Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of naval shipyard policies and procedures related to functional areas such as engineering, planning, production and administration.
Experience conducting effective personal interviews and training classes and preparing clear, informative written reports.
Experience interpreting drawings, plans, specifications, job orders, and other documents used by the Production Resources Department Shops.
Experience applying quality assurance concepts, principles and methodology to utilize in developing and implementing an effective, economical shipyard quality assurance program.
Experience applying knowledge of audit, investigative and analysis methods and techniques to conduct effective audits/investigations of shipyard programs, processes and products and analyze results on a cumulative basis to identify quality trends.
Experience applying knowledge of basic ship types, configurations and systems to facilitate shipboard onsite inspections of failed systems/components and promote ease of communications with cognizant civilian and military personnel.
