Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves checking and improving quality in naval weapon systems support, ensuring everything meets strict safety and operational standards.
You'll evaluate processes, manage data metrics, and handle special programs for submarines and deep-sea equipment.
It's a good fit for someone with experience in quality control, especially in defense or manufacturing, who is detail-oriented and can communicate well.
You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
1) Providing quality management experience and evaluating compliance to written requirements. 2) Developing and maintaining metrics and experience with configuration management.
3) Experience with Naval Special Emphasis Programs (SUBSAFE, Deep-Submergence Scope of Certification, Fly-By-Wire) and/or Level 1 material.
