Summary

This job involves leading efforts to monitor and improve the safety, effectiveness, and quality of care and services at a residential center for people with disabilities in rural Pennsylvania.

The director works as part of the executive team to ensure all activities align with the organization's mission using quality management methods.

Key Requirements

  • One year as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Coordinator (or equivalent), or two years as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist
  • Four years of professional experience as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team in a healthcare facility plus a bachelor’s degree
  • Four years of clinical experience in a human services agency, including three years in professional, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory healthcare work, plus a bachelor’s degree
  • Equivalent combination of four years of professional, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory experience in a healthcare program
  • Meet Pennsylvania residency requirements
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including full-time on-site work (8 AM to 4 PM, Monday-Friday, with possible weekends, holidays, travel, and overtime)
  • Pass a medical examination as part of conditional employment offer

Selinsgrove Center is looking for a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Director for a facility wide system to monitor and evaluate the appropriateness and quality of care and services at Selinsgrove Center.

Selinsgrove Center is located in a nice rural location just outside the Borough of Selinsgrove. Only a couple minutes from town, Selinsgrove Area Schools and Susquehanna University.

Requirements

As a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Director, you will be responsible for assuring services provided are safe, effective, efficient, in delivery and in an effort to improve the quality of lives for the people that live at Selinsgrove Center. You will function as a part of the Executive team as the leadership of the Center and assure activities both currently occurring and proposed meet the mission and values of ODP and Selinsgrove Center, while utilizing Quality Management techniques.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Travel and overtime as needed.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $77,379.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist; or
  • Four years of professional experience as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team in a public or private healthcare facility, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • Four years of clinical experience in a human services agency, including three years of professional, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory work in a healthcare program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes four years of professional, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory work in a healthcare program.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
