The Department of Health is seeking a motivated Public Health Program Administrator to join our team in the Bureau of Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

In this position, you will develop and monitor education and outreach activities to bring greater public awareness to services available for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children under the age of five.
Your work will involve developing statewide marketing and communications tasks, developing grant proposals, and securing contractor bids.
You will conduct periodic needs assessments, determine appropriate target populations and messages, identify the most feasible marketing strategy to reach program goals.
Some of your duties will also include providing technical assistance to contractors through on-site visits and phone calls, communicating with a wide variety of agencies at conferences and meetings, and coordinating plans for professional and public education regarding the WIC Program.
Additionally, you will serve as the gatekeeper for public notices, press releases, and other promotional or information materials to be publicly released.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
