Full Job Description

The SC Commission for Community Advancement and Engagement is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply! Under general supervision, Project Manager is responsible for facilitating its community engagement projects for its various divisions.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager I:
  • The Project Manager will serve as the primary person responsible for coordinating and facilitating projects from inception to completion for the agency's statewide, regional, and local projects aimed at community development.
  • Manages and coordinates event planning, facilitation, and logistical needs for the agency's various divisions, including preparing status reports, and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Assists in creating quality management plans, developing and maintaining project documentation, and assisting with the oversight of project designs to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, or agency protocols.
  • Identifies potential problems and facilitates problem resolution by determining or recommending and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manages and coordinates the planning and execution of training and development programs for the agency's constituent communities as it relates to the agency's community engagement initiatives.
  • Prepares necessary documentation (i.e., needs analysis, business case, feasibility analysis, etc.) to support project initiatives, and develop and maintain documentation throughout the entire project lifestyle.
  • Assists with managing the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout phases of the project lifecycles for small/minor projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and relevant project management experience.

Additional Requirements:

May require some overnight travel and work beyond 37 .5 hours/week and could include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
