Army Corps of Engineers, SWD, with a duty station location of Bossier City or Ft Polk LA or Corpus Christi, Edinburg, Ft Bliss, Ft Hood, McAllen, Red River, or San Antonio, TX.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Develop strategic plans for project execution AND 2) Track project milestones to ensure project requirements specifications and business support for the life cycle management of construction projects/programs are met, AND 3) Prepare project reports for senior leaders and customers.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Serve as Project Coordinator, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned Project.
  • Control and manage project milestone and budget from planning through construction and initial operation.
  • Coordinate planning, design, cost-engineering, construction and environmental restoration, etc., for engineering project.
  • Implement engineering or construction project technique such as scheduling and creating work breakdown structures in order to efficiently and effectively manage national program/project.
  • Based on performance trend, forecast schedule, budget, manpower, or quality problem and ensure proper resolution of issue raised.
  • Prepare written report or memorandum that detail engineering or construction project assessment and/or inspection finding.
