Full Job Description

This position is located at: FMWR - NAF Support Services - Community Event - Fort Polk, Louisiana. Join our team at Fort Polk-home of the Joint Readiness Training Center.

DFMWR integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services enabling readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army.

Our team specializes in organizing a wide array of family-friendly events, including everything from concerts to sporting events. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated ability to perform the duties described above. Experience in performing basic facility maintenance and minor repairs.

Must have and retain a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds Highly Preferred: Work experience in multiple DFMWR Facilities or Programs.

Basic understanding of routine maintenance on heavy equipment. Fork Lift Driver certification APPLICANTS MEETING THE HIGHLY PREFERRED WILL BE REFERRED TO MANAGEMENT FIRST.

Major Duties:

  • Works under the supervision of the activity manager who makes specific assignments, explains polices and procedures, and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • May require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities. Maintains schedules for maintenance and/or repair of physical facility.
  • Manages data and prepares, tracks, and adjusts work orders for maintenance which cannot be completed by self-help. Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor.
  • Prepares, maintains, and monitors requirement lists and inventories for supplies and equipment in the facilities. May assist in moving or arranging furniture and equipment, and perform minimal housekeeping tasks. May be required to drive a vehicle.
  • Conducts liaison with facility supervisors, and serves as customer services point of contact. Schedules and coordinates short and long-range maintenance, repair, and minor construction requirements .Performs other duties as assigned
