Full Job Description

This position is located at the Community Recreation Division- Fort Polk, Louisiana. Join our team at Fort Polk-home of the Joint Readiness Training Center.

DFMWR integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services enabling readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

NF-01 Developmental position with potential to be non-competitively promoted to NF-02 at a later date. NF-01 Minimum Qualifications: No experience required.

NF-02 Minimum Qualifications Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items.

Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. Skill in providing customer service.

Major Duties:

  • The employee works under closer than normal supervision wherein work is closely reviewed and detailed guidance provided as needed. As employee progresses, supervisory control diminishes until full performance level is accomplished.
  • In a developmental capacity, receives training and close supervision in the performance of duties and responsibilities set for the position.
  • Gradually assumes more responsibility and learns to perform the full scope of the duties required of the position
  • Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.
  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag. Completes Daily Activity Report.
