To qualify for the position of Program Support Assistant, at GS-0303-7, you must meet the qualifications and successfully complete the online assessments listed below.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-07, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 in the Federal service.
Experience for this position includes: assisting in the preparation of administrative documents, such as procurement requests, requests for phone and equipment service/repair, and requests for keys, and maintaining personal property control and inventory of office supplies and equipment; reviewing and maintaining time and attendance reports and notifying division staff of problems/discrepancies to be resolved; receiving/distributing mail; maintaining and updating operating procedures and manuals; maintaining employee records; reviewing travel orders and vouchers; scheduling meetings; and proofreading, editing, and preparing correspondence.
Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
