About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S.

Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Strategic Systems Support Element (SSSE) HQ Element, Alexandria Virginia.

  • Serve as a Program Specialist responsible for handling routine and non-routine Civilian Human Resources issues.
  • Serve as the primary or alternate timekeeper and civilian pay expert for the organization.
  • Recognize problems/problem areas; originate solutions to complex or unusual issues; and provide onsite assistance.
  • Provide authoritative interpretation and instructions of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, and develops guidance on appropriate course of action.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of automated systems which control and track data requirements and produce reports pertaining to Human Resources (HR) metrics.
  • Provide advice and assistance to managers and supervisors on personnel management matters involving staffing.
