Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading teams of engineers to design, build, and test systems that measure sound underwater for the Navy, while handling budgets, risks, and coordination with partners to meet project goals.
It's ideal for experienced engineers who enjoy managing complex technical projects in a government setting and have a background in mechanical, electrical, or general engineering.
The role requires strong leadership skills to guide diverse teams and ensure everything stays on track.
You will serve as a Program Manager in the Acoustic Measurement Facility Improvement Program (AMFIP) of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.
The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineer (0801 series), Mechanical Engineer (0830-series), or a Electrical Engineer (0850 Series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Engineer leading multi-disciplinary teams to plan, design, develop, integrate, validate and deliver acoustic measurement systems while managing risks, budgets, resources, and performance to ensure successful program execution and stakeholder alignment.
