Full Job Description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.

Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Cargo & Conveyance Security Directorate, Cargo Innovation Division, located in Washington, DC.

Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Conducting cost-benefit analyses and provided recommendations to seniorleadership to support the allocation and distribution of funds in the organization'sbudget.

Conducting advanced research and analysis to identify emerging challenges andopportunities and applying innovative technical direction in project management,team building, facilitation, process improvement analysis, and methodology.

Preparing detailed evaluation reports for agency executives and oversight bodiesto provide findings and strategic recommendations on establishing budgets andtimeframes.

Conducting comprehensive evaluations of program effectiveness and presentingdetailed technical advice regarding statistical methods, mathematical techniquesand process mapping.

Managing large-scale initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and proactively identifying and recommending resources for significant budget considerations.

Background Investigation: U.S.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment in order to promote the agency's core values of vigilance, service to country, and integrity.

This position will allow you to use your expertise in managing and overseeing a critical program segment which has program office-wide or CBP-wide impact.

This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
