This job involves leading innovative science and engineering programs for the Navy, focusing on reviewing and selecting projects that advance naval technology in areas like ship systems.
You'll manage teams, partner with experts from academia and industry, and ensure projects align with Navy goals.

You will serve as the Director of Innovative Science and Engineering (IS&E) in the Deputy Technical Director's Office of NSWC PHILA DIV. This position is equivalent to the GS-14/15 level.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or ND-4 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer 1. Overseeing program and/or project management of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems; 2.
with knowledge of NSWCPD's Naval Innovative Science & Engineering (NISE) portfolio; and 3.
leading diverse, cross-functional teams on technical projects and partnering with Navy, academia and/or industry to further technological advancement of engineering programs.
