Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading efforts to manage and strengthen the industrial base for building and maintaining U.S.

Navy aircraft carriers, including strategy development, resource planning, and coordination with industry partners.

You'll guide teams, advise top leaders, and represent the program in meetings both inside and outside the organization.

Full Job Description

You will serve as the Director of Industrial Base in the Program Executives Office (PEO) for Aircraft Carriers at Washington Navy Yard, located in Washington D.C.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a subject matter expert in shipbuilding and ship modernization, processing comprehensive professional knowledge and extensive experience in the program management of life-cycle support for all new development aircraft carrier programs, including industrial base, new construction and in-service support.

  • You will serve as Program Manager leading the industrial base portfolio, providing overall direction and guidance.
  • You will be the Program Manager, working on industrial base strategy, in line with program baselines, and managing acquisition life cycle activities for the PEO
  • You will Communicate program activities in a variety of written and oral forums at all levels internal and external to the organization
  • You will oversee identification of resource requirements and development of strategies for industrial base management
  • You will advise leadership on key industrial base efforts, policy and strategy.
  • You will represent program leadership with industry and other DoD/DoN engagements.
