PROGRAM MANAGER

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Program Manager in the Functional Integration Directorate of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD DAHLGREN.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conduct studies of broad scope and complexity involving management of cost, schedule, performance and technical aspects; 2) Ability to negotiate with management to accept findings and implement recommendations, particularly when substantial resources are needed or major changes to established procedures are recommended; 3) Possess thorough knowledge of the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) to include all elements, how they function and perform together, and overall operation of the system.

• You will manage fleet integration of surface combat systems and serve as technical authority to engineers during the design and developmental process.
• You will provide information and guidance on training organization equipment/systems that are developed for Aegis and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) ships.
• You will work with contracting as a subject matter expert responsible for monitoring, reporting, and providing information on contractor performance for associated projects.
