Full Job Description

Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the Director of the Office of Virtual Education and VirtualSC PD Team Leader, manages and implements VirtualSC PD Self-Paced program.

Facilitates online courses, mentors and supports online PD facilitators. Assist with course preps for all sessions.

Provides technical support for support systems including the Student Information Systems. Maintains VirtualSC PD’s website and image catalog.

Job Functions

The person in this position will manage and implement the delivery of the VirtualSC PD Self-Paced program. Create the Self-Paced courses in the Student Information and Learning Management systems.

Review, update, and revise VirtualSC PD courses to ensure alignment with program objectives. Monitor and train Self-Paced adjuncts.

Evaluate their end of course surveys and analyze data of results and report findings to the administration with recommendations and summaries.

Facilitate Self-Paced courses offered year-round, ensuring consistent, high quality learning experiences.

Plan, prepare, and deliver online instruction that actively engages participants and aligns with professional development standards.

Effectively evaluate participant performance and communicate results with clear, thorough documentation.

Manage facilitation assignments, observer scheduling, and resource allocation for the program based on data gathered through daily administrative operations.

Coordinate course assignments for staff and ensure that instructional needs are prioritized to support effective course delivery.

Coordinate course offerings and manage participant course requests for all VirtualSC PD professional development opportunities.

Develop and maintain all content on the VirtualSC PD website to ensure accuracy and timely updates. Coordinate and promote course offerings through the website blog.

Maintain course catalogs and descriptions, ensuring information is current and consistent. Compile and manage VirtualSC PD’s image catalog across the website and the Student Information System.

Conduct research and verify that all required copyright permissions are properly secured. Serve as the primary coordinator for the Student Information System (SIS).

Submit detailed issue reports through the SIS Ticketing System, including clear descriptions and supporting screenshots.

Collaborate with the Instructional Technology Coordinator to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Test corrected items and provide recommendations for improvement.

Identify program needs based on daily SIS usage and track potential enhancements for future implementation. Perform other related duties as required.

This position is located in the Office of VirtualSC.


Requirements


A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

Qualifications

A master's degree and three (3) years of experience; OR a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in education, educational technology; OR a combination of education and experience necessary to perform the work.
