This position is located in the Operations and Manpower Branch, Military Personnel Division, Human Resources Directorate, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), and assists the Chief Operations/Manpower, Team Leader, and the Military Personnel Division's leadership as an advisor on the effectiveness and efficiency with which personnel carry out their assigned programs and functions.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector).
Specialized experience is defined as: experience performing surveys of ogranizational programs, utilizing analytical techniques to measure and improve program effectiveness, and experience as MILPERS point of contact.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Leadership with objectively based information for making decisions on the administrativeand programmatic aspects of agency operations and management.
Formulate general policies, procedures and regulations for leadership.
Implement directions and management of day-to-day operations by coordinating functions of the advisory, administrative, and technical staffs to evaluate or improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the division and its programs.
Perform special studies, prepare reports, manage records, space, equipment utilization or similar management systems.
