Job Description

Summary

This job involves reviewing government policies and procedures to spot inefficiencies, analyzing how new laws might affect operations, and creating reports to improve program performance in a health and human services agency.

You'll work with teams inside and outside the organization to track tasks and resolve issues.

Full Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Applies qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to assess administrative operations and program performance.

Identifies inefficiencies in administrative operations and develops recommendations to improve program effectiveness and operational performance.

Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on action items, inquiries, and correspondence.

Researches and analyzes issues and tracks action items through resolution to ensure completion of assigned deliverables.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Program Analyst you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office of Mission Acquisition Solutions (OMAS) to optimize business results and customer experience by: Review and evaluate managerial policies and procedures to determine gaps where additional guidance is needed and analyzes the impact of proposed legislation on agency operations.

Compile data and prepare complex administrative and management reports that emanate from the Department or high echelons in the organization.

Serve as analyst and advisor to management on the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization on acquisition-related management and administrative regulations, guidelines and processes.

Provide leadership, guidance and supervision to the procurement operations of multiple HHS programs.
