Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS DIVISION of NAVMAG INDIAN ISLAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating reserve and active duty manpower training/certification requirements for an ordnance program to make recommendations for improving operational readiness and/or organizational effectiveness.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will provide direction, technical responsibility, and decision authority for the Naval Magazine Indian Island (NAVMAG II) Reserve and Mobilization programs.
  • You will develop the Command's training requirements that allow the integration of Reserve personnel seamlessly into the production facilities and assure training complies with DoD requirements.
  • You will provide the development, coordination, and execution of the Ordnance NW personnel training and explosive ordnance certification efforts.
  • You will develop detailed plans, compile and analyze data, and forecast Reserve and Ordnance NW manpower needs required to perform mobilization mission.
  • You will be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and maintaining the Ordnance NW Mobilization Plan.
  • You will identify facilities and equipment requirements to support site mobilization missions, and recommend corrective actions as required.
  • You will conduct detailed studies to determine the phased mobilization manpower requirements to support mobilization mission of ordnance material, storage, production, and ship evolutions at NAVMAG II.
  • You will prepare, submit, and monitor the annual budget for Ordnance NW activities.
  • You will ensure all reserve and civilian qualifications and training accomplishments are properly recorded.
