This position is located in the Recruitment, Medical, and Fitness Division (RMFD).
RMFD is responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment, occupational medical, and physical fitness programs for the PFPA Law Enforcement positions.
The incumbent is responsible for the operation and management of the Occupation Medical Program. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: Developing and establishing policy to assess and improve program objectives and goals; and Formulating budgeting regulations, guidelines and requirements in support of a program; and Preparing oral or written communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Establishes, manages, and maintains a comprehensive Occupational Medical Program.
Plans, develops, analyzes, and reviews occupation medical officer and nursing services.
Serves as the principal advisor, consultant, and technical authority for Occupational Medical Program activities, with responsibility to determine the type and scope of procedural guidance needed by PFPA.
Provides general occupational medical and health information to PFPA employees in cooperation with the Medical Review Officer/Medical Director.
Ensures all PFPA Pentagon Police Department employees and applicants receive the appropriate medical exams (e.g., applicant, fit for duty, and employee physical exams).
Formulates plans, standards, and procedures for the management and direction of the Occupational Medical Program.
