Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing and managing the acquisition and contracting processes for undersea warfare systems in the Navy, ensuring projects stay on track with budgets, timelines, and performance goals.

You'll lead studies, prototyping efforts, and the creation of long-term plans for developing new technologies.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Program Executive Officer, Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS) of PEO SSBN.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading and executing acquisition/contract management activities (e.g., acquisition strategies, contract strategies, preparing acquisition documentation, and tracking contract requirement fulfillment) to ensure assigned program meets long-term plans.

  • You will manage acquisition programs where the incumbent has knowledge and skills in one or more acquisition workforce related series for which no single discipline is paramount or when a discipline is not covered by an established series.
  • You will be responsible for directing, managing, chairing, advising and reporting on developmental/engineering studies, projects, and experiments.
  • You will be responsible for managing prototyping efforts, generation of development and production transition plans for Prototyping efforts.
  • You will be responsible for the development of long-range plans for the cost, performance, schedule of acquisition efforts within the scope of assigned areas.
  • You will be responsible leading the development of acquisition and contracting documentation to support Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDTE) efforts.
