This job involves analyzing and planning for naval aviation programs, including developing long-term strategies for aircraft and weapons systems, coordinating budgets, and working with military leaders to address operational needs.
A good fit would be someone with strong analytical skills and experience in defense planning, particularly in aviation or technology development, who can communicate complex ideas clearly and handle high-level national security matters.
You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Air Warfare Division of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing expert experience performing strategic and detailed analysis to support the development, implementation, and oversight of resources needed to develop mid and long range plans/projections for naval aviation aircraft weapons systems.
Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Experience in Science & Technology organizations and processes to develop the DoN's aviation planning and programming options; 2) Expert communication skills in outlining Navy aviation direction and vision, and generate warfighting requirements to meet identified and validated capability gaps; 3) Expert knowledge of the political-military strategy at the national security level, service, and theater level regarding military planning, capabilities, and operations; 4) Demonstrate expert knowledge of Naval Aviation weapons platforms Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
