One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: experience performing independent program analysis, planning, designing in support of conferences, exhibits, and enterprise engagement initiatives; developing and executing multi-year plans, schedules, and resource requirements for high-visibility events; and providing advice and assistance to stakeholders.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Serves as the department analyst and expert in the area of strategic planning for conferences and exhibits.
  • Establishes and makes recommendations regarding project schedules.
  • Conducts analytical studies to develop alternatives, priorities and definitive recommendations: for decisions/actions.
  • Monitors the execution of Directorate programs to validate the actions are meeting scheduled dates, commitments and objectives.
  • Researches, investigates and examines new or improved management practices and analyzes corporate goals, objectives and or issues and industry and marketplace realities to prepare near term business plans and long-term business strategies.
