Job Description

Summary

This job involves planning and managing maintenance schedules for military vehicles and equipment to keep them ready for use, while tracking parts and ensuring everything runs smoothly in a production facility.

It also includes guiding junior staff and reporting on equipment status for the Army National Guard.

  • Knowledge of managing and reporting on equipment readiness, property accountability, and system management using MTO&E or TDA

Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1255000 and is part of the CO FMS 7, National Guard.

Military Grades: E-4 thru E-8 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2.

An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. Resume must be two pages or less. 3.

It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.

DO NOT copy each bullet listed below word for word and place into your resume; you must describe your personal experience as it pertains to each bullet.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1.

Experience scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. 2.

Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. 3.

Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes.

Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.

Major Duties:

The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance production management, to achieve or maintain desired production levels, to serve as an equipment readiness expert for units supported by the facility, and to provide technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller.

Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, and small arms.

Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports, and system management.
