Location: Snoqualmie, WA

Salary: $3,665 - $4,771 Monthly. Posted salary does not include an additional 5% premium pay for employees working in King County or an on-site 24/7 facility 5% premium.


The Department of Children, Youth, and Families is looking for a Procurement & Supply Specialist 1 to join our team to independently oversee the commissary and manage most of the procurement tasks at Echo Glen Children's Center.

The Opportunity:

As a Procurement & Supply Specialist 1, you will order, receive, store inventory and issue materials and supplies to the campus. Additionally, you will perform purchasing tasks, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state contracts.


Some of what you'll do:

  • Purchase equipment, supplies, materials, vehicles, furniture and services in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Accept and occasionally unload shipping and receiving, verifying quantities and Items received and track any damage.
  • Monitor, track, process, or provide information on: purchasing card, procurement files, and vendor accounts
  • Revise procurement forms, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide training to employees on procurement process and procedures.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
  • lnput invoices into ePMX, use an inventory program to track commissary orders and record state assets into the agency property inventory.
  • Analyze and audit order history and reconcile accounts and inventory for three warehouse areas and/or the canteen.


Required Qualifications:

Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling three (3) years.

OR

An Associate of Arts in Purchase Management, Business Administration, or closely allied field, AND one year of full-time purchasing experience.

AND

  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.

In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:

  • Three years of purchasing and inventory management, accounting and/or warehouse experience.
  • Previously demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience operating general office and warehouse equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, electric cart and computer.
