The Procurement Specialist provides assistance with procurement needs for the South Carolina Technical College System.
Responsible for creating shopping carts and purchase orders in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS), obtain vendor quotes, procurement forms; to include purchase of services and supplies, but not limited to: tools, hardware, consumables, furniture, security services, janitorial, and computer hardware/software.
Responsible for conducting market research to evaluate and compare products and services to determine the best method to meet agency needs in compliance with the SC Consolidated Procurement Code and Federal Regulations.
Assist with bid openings, posting, updating, and reviewing procurement documents as needed. Responsible for maintaining the centralized Procurement filing system.
Assist in resolving internal and external concerns pertaining to procurement. Maintain a log of vendor documents and monthly procurement reports.
Responsible for processing monthly utilities on the purchasing cards and ensure all receipts for purchasing card transactions are in accordance with SC Procurement Code and submit to the Purchasing Card Administrator by the specified date.
