Full Job Description

The Procurement Contract Management Specialist supports the Department of General Services by coordinating and participating in a variety of financial, administrative, and management activities related to procurement and contract management.

This position is responsible for coordinating procurement activities, managing contract lifecycles, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

The role requires a strong understanding of public procurement processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule that may include remote work.


The men and women in Metro’s General Services Department are there to make sure the rest of government works.

From ensuring that our city’s vehicles run safely and smoothly, to keeping city buildings up to par to providing printing services and more, General Services is the support that allows other Metro departments to focus and achieve their missions.


Requirements

  • Assist in the development, review, and processing of solicitations including RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs.
  • Coordinate contract execution and maintain contract documentation and records.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, including deliverables, timelines, invoice review and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between vendors, departments, and staff to resolve contract-related issues.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with governmental regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement reports, tracking logs, and audit documentation.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, registration, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in training sessions and system upgrades related to procurement financial Oracle Cloud system.
  • Assist with preparation and development of capital and operational budgets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in contract administration or contract compliance.

*Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education (1:1 Ratio)

LICENSE REQUIRED:
Valid Driver License
