This entry-level role trains candidates to become Power System Operators at Tacoma Power, where they'll learn to monitor and control the city's electrical grid to ensure safe and reliable power delivery to customers, even during emergencies.
Over about two years, trainees rotate through shifts and handle tasks like balancing electricity supply and demand while following safety rules.
It's a great fit for detail-oriented, quick-thinking individuals who stay calm under pressure, enjoy teamwork, and have a background in electrical work or related technical fields.
