Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Foreman III Powerplant Ops & Maintenance.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 04/02/2026.

The Foreman III, Powerplant O&M position has a 3 step pay system and applicants initially hired into a position at the Hungry Horse Field Office will be hired at the step 1 wage rate of $63.95 per hour.

After a one year period from the date of hire, upon performing successfully in this position and approval by the supervisor, the incumbent may be advanced to the step 2 wage rate of $66.62 per hour.

Again, after a one year period, successful job performance, and supervisory approval, the incumbent may be advanced to the step 3 wage rate of $69.28 per hour.

Annual wage adjustments are reviewed and adjusted the first full pay period in May of each year. Major Duties:

The work involves assignments in a broad range of operations and maintenance activities related to the dam, power plant and associated structures, grounds and roads within the Hungry Horse Project boundaries.

The operation of the dam and power plant and maintenance activities require the incumbent to solve novel problems, modify and extend standard operation and maintenance techniques, and develop new approaches to solve problems.

Responsible for the overall accomplishment of work objectives and assignments through such activities as planning, scheduling, work direction and coordinating all aspects of work for the personnel assigned within the context of schedules and priorities established by higher level supervision.

Responsible for the work performed by a composite crew comprised of hydro-electric mechanics, electricians, operators, power system control craftsman and utility support personnel who are utilized to perform maintenance, repairs, operations, inspections, additions and modifications to Hungry Horse facilities.
