Join Tacoma Power's Power Management team as a Power Energy Portfolio Analyst, Principal!
We're on a mission to optimize energy supplies and deliver competitively-priced power products and services to our customers.
In this role, you'll co-manage our largest contracts with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), covering 40% of our operating expenses.
You will be on a team that oversees the BPA Power Supply contract (70% of our delivered electricity) and managing the BPA Transmission Services contract (essential for reliable load service and wholesale transactions).
You will be hands on, modeling data for rates planning and analysis, as well as forecasting, and will participate directly in Rates proceedings with BPA.
You will also work with our operations team in implementing the BPA Power Supply Contract.
Additionally, you may be involved in negotiating and managing other wholesale power supply contracts, the 3rd AC transmission agreement, and contracts with our large industrial retail customers.
Note that a successful candidate does not need to be an expert in all aspects of the job right out of the gate. There will be opportunity to learn from Tacoma's Team.Responsibilities include:
Help manage Tacoma Power's BPA Power and Transmission contract processes and negotiate any necessary new agreements or changes.
This includes managing quarterly and annual filing requirements and contract exhibit updates associated with Tacoma Power's BPA Power, Transmission, and Large Industrial Sales Agreements.
This position is in office at least three days a week.
