Full Job Description

Serves as a Post-Doctoral Fellow under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) pursuing immunology and molecular biology research using -omics approaches. Studies project focus on the mechanisms underlying inflammatory diseases such as colitis, as well as the effects of various dietary supplements. Advises principal investigators, research faculty, PDFs, students, and technologists on current methods, ongoing experiments, and future research directions. Maintains accurate and detailed records of laboratory experiments and presents these in informal laboratory discussions, group meetings, formal symposia, and publications. Assists in training other individuals, including students, in the laboratory. Performs laboratory research assessing the epigenomic, genomic and transcriptomic effects, and microbiome following environmental pollutant and dietary supplement exposure on inflammation and cancer. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations. This position is established in support of expanded research activities.

• Knowledgeable of hazards of laboratory activities and biosafety practices, skilled in setting up experiments independently.
