Advertised Job Summary

The Fellow will oversee all aspects of the measurement team and work with participants directly. He/she will be responsible for certifying staff on protocols for assessing physical activity, anthropometrics, blood pressure, and psychosocial surveys. The Fellow will also provide analytic and methodological oversight, contribute to the planning and execution of data analyses, prepare, and submit manuscripts, write grant proposals, and develop an independent program of research related to health promotion among minority or underrepresented communities. Candidates with a research interest/focus in health equity, community-based research, motivational and behavioral-change theory, statistics, and/or implementation science are encouraged to apply.

Required Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Exercise Science, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and potential to mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Experience with management and analysis of complex datasets, including experience with SAS , SPSS , or R.
• A strong track record of publications in scientific journals.
• Experience in health promotion, community-based prevention/intervention, and/or health disparities research.

• Ability to communicate clearly, orally, and in writing, with all constituents of the College of Nursing.
• Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire, lead, and work effectively with diverse groups.

• Understanding and support of the research mission of the College of Nursing.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

• Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.
