Job Duties:

  • The Fiscal Technician I performs varied clerical accounting and bookkeeping duties which may include posting, updating, reconciling, routine auditing and preparing summary financial and statistical reports.


  • Perform financial transactions, screens disbursements and expenditures request for accuracy, legality and authorization. Process vouchers within established time frames and reconcile accounts daily. Procedures are to be in compliance with federal, state and agency regulations.


  • Prepare monthly summaries of accounts, all month-end and quarterly reports and Social Security reviews. Reports will be accurate and completed by assigned deadlines.


  • Setup new accounts, assists in implementing new financial records keeping systems, makes transaction corrections and classification changes according to guidelines and prepared to audit procedures.


  • Responsible for the requisition, storage, distribution and supply inventory set by state procedures and regulations. Monitors supplies monthly to ensure agency’s needs are met.


  • Back-up for EBT and agency switchboard. Assist with maintenance of security system.

  • Provide support to both the Economic Services and Human Services Divisions. Assist with needs for purchasing equipment and ordering of supplies for the agency. Assist with maintenance and reconciliation of agency credit card.

  • Perform related duties as required.

  • In the absence of the Business Manager performs other duties as required.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and one (1) year of clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience.

An Associate Degree or higher may be substituted for the required work experience.
