Base salary range: $37,764 - $49,094
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-5. Bachelor's degree + some experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a police officer at a Navy installation in Indian Head, Maryland, where you'll enforce laws, protect people and property, investigate incidents, and control access to secure areas.

The role involves hands-on duties like traffic enforcement, detaining suspects, and gathering evidence to prevent crimes.
You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the FORCE PROTECTION of NSA SOUTH POTOMAC SECURITY DETACHMENT.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting a body of basic laws and regulations; 2) Interpreting law enforcement operations, practices and techniques; 3) Maintaining order and protecting life and property; 4) Seizing and protecting evidence, or interviewing witnesses and taking statements, or conducting preliminary investigations or conducting traffic stops or detaining citizens in violations of law; 5) Subduing or disarming individuals.
