This seasonal plumber job with the National Park Service involves maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing systems in a park setting, including fixtures, water lines, sewage systems, and heating/cooling equipment.

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April to January but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.
Anticipated Entry on Duty: Beginning of April Open to the first 100 applicants or until 02/27/2026 whichever comes first.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.

The major duties of the position Plumber include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs preventive maintenance to all plumbing and mechanical equipment and parts.
Installs, modifies, and repairs plumbing fixtures (bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, water fountains, and their associated hardware.
Cleans gravity type sewage drain lines, repairs or replaces potable water lines, and makes connections and repairs to water mains and fire hydrants Installs and makes repairs to sewer drain systems (these include septic tanks, drain fields, sewage lift pumps, and related piping Installs, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance to heating and cooling systems Packs valve stems, services check valves, flanges, altitude valves, gauges, and all pumping equipment used in water systems.
