Job Description

Summary

This job involves maintaining and fixing lawn irrigation systems at a military base in New Jersey, such as repairing sprinklers, pipes, and valves to keep the grounds watered properly.

A good fit would be someone with hands-on plumbing experience who can work independently under general supervision and enjoys outdoor maintenance tasks.

It's a practical role for a reliable technician comfortable with tools and basic repairs.

  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes for installation
  • Capability to maintain an inventory of repair parts

  • Makes repairs by removing, cleaning, replacing and sealing defective parts of lawn irrigation systems.
  • Repairs/replaces sprinkler heads, piping, valves, couplings and other associated parts to include automatic control timers.
  • Measures, cuts and threads pipe, bending sections to desired curvature and assembling for installation.
  • Maintains adequate supply of repair parts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
