This job involves hands-on plumbing work at a skilled level, along with general upkeep and repairs for state facilities like hospitals and youth centers in southern Colorado.
You'll fix pipes, install fixtures, handle emergencies, and tackle everyday maintenance issues such as leaky faucets, broken locks, and damaged walls to keep buildings safe and functional.
It's a great fit for someone with practical plumbing experience who enjoys varied repair tasks and working on-site in a team supporting public services.

This position is open to current Colorado residents only.
The Division of Facilities exists to plan, design, construct, operate, maintain and manage the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) facilities and campuses according to all applicable standards in a manner that promotes the CDHS mission of providing safe, sanitary and effective environment for clients, youth, residents, consumers and staff and enhances the quality of life in CDHS facilities and campuses and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Facilities served: Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP), Pueblo Regional Center (PRC), Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Youth Services (Zeb Pike, Spring Creek and Pueblo Youth Services Center) and the Veteran’s Community Living Centers in the southern district.
You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times.

This position exists to perform plumbing at a journeyman level and building maintenance for facilities served in the South District
Special Qualification
Applicants must possess an active Journeyworker/Journeyman or Master Plumber license issued by the State of Colorado. A copy of your license must be attached to your application. Must obtain an Asbestos abatement certification during employment with DFM.
Experience OnlyApplicants must have at least three years of full-time plumbing experience that led to the Colorado Plumbing license (Journeyworker/Master).
This experience must be clearly documented in your application.OREducation and ExperienceA combination of related education, a formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience equal to three (3) years.
