The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is looking for a dedicated individual to assist in the plumbing operation for the Bureau of Facilities Management at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Requirements
The Plumber is an essential position that performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the overall plumbing operations at Fort Indiantown Gap, including installation of new water lines and fire hydrants, manufacture and maintenance of manholes, maintain, repair and/or replace above and underground water mains and sewer lines throughout Fort Indiantown Gap.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures;
or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Possession of a valid PA DEP Class E (Water) Certification
- Completion of formal training in the plumbing trade
- Previous experience as a plumber
- Previous experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of water main breaks and the sanitizing of water mains due to main breaks
- Previous experience in the maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of underground water mains and/or sewage lines
- Previous experience in the installation and/or connection of service lines to water or sewage mains
- Previous experience working in hazardous conditions such as confined space, electrical currents, or chemical exposure
