Job Description
Summary
This job is for a lead plumber at a correctional facility in South Carolina, where you'll plan and oversee all plumbing repairs and maintenance, including emergency fixes and sewage systems.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on experience in plumbing who can manage a team and handle the unique challenges of working in a prison setting.
You'll also need to complete basic training provided by the employer after being hired.

Full Job Description
- Plans, organizes, controls, supervises, administers and completes facility plumbing maintenance and repair program.
- Responsibilities include program development; supervision of emergency plumbing maintenance and repair operations; and the installation, operation, and maintenance of plumbing and sewage disposal systems.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas or waste disposal systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma and five (5) years of experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas, or waste disposal systems.
