Full Job Description

You will serve as a PLASTIC FABRICATOR SUPERVISOR II in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, (SHOP 970) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

  • You will review the plans of subordinate supervisors for the layout of particularly difficult or important jobs.
  • You will assure the availability of special equipment, tooling, materials, and assist manpower or services critical to the timely completion of important assignments.
  • You will direct, coordinate, and supervise the operations of work groups consisting of both civilian and military personnel.
  • You will provide decisions on priorities and scheduling details.
  • You will provide instruction and training to subordinate supervisors in directing work of a new or unusual nature.
  • You will eliminate potential bottlenecks to minimize effect of work stoppage or delays to ensure job completion remains on schedule.
  • You will be responsible for decisions and recommendations on a wide range of personnel management matters concerning subordinates to include setting of performance standards and rating or reviewing performance.
