Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as a nuclear engineer at a naval shipyard in Hawaii, where you'll guide teams on safely managing radiation risks during the maintenance and repair of nuclear reactor systems on ships.
You'll ensure proper safety protocols are followed, mentor junior staff, and solve technical issues that arise during hands-on work.
It's a great fit for experienced engineers with a background in nuclear safety and radiation protection who enjoy leading projects in a military environment.
You will serve as a NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the RADIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING DIVISION (C/105.2) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing engineering oversight and direction on planning and technical procedures pertinent to control of radioactivity and personnel exposure to radiation and performing job preparations for work in areas such as overhaul, repair, and inspection of reactor plant systems and components.
